My Second Article.... Just started... On My Way to complete..... Don’t worry I am not giving any gyan nor initiating the debate here…. I am here to say what human resource really means??? Is it effectively managing & developing people? Or sampling performance appraisal & playing with no.’s which is termed as a Reward. Or even demanding to increase the innovation, creativity & flexibility necessary to enhance competitiveness Or even trying to engage employees even if they are not interested in engaging  Being part of the HR for close to 9 years I always thought – is this all the HR person do in this entire life…. Or are we striving to play a fair game constantly When do we engage ourselves, who will engage us, how do we progress our career, whom do we go to when there is a problem….

Human + Resources = The word ‘Human’ means being natural, kind, gentle, thoughtful, compassionate, benevolent, generous, and placid the list goes on….. however, can we really compare ourselves to these words… are we really being generous in our performance appraisals, are we kind to people who are serving their notice period, are we thoughtful in our processes, are we really compassionate in our roles, do we really benevolent towards people who opt to work from home, are we placid with under performers…..i guess the answer is ‘NO’ for most of these questions. What is making us to be more mechanical/automated?
